New Team Members Join our Staff

December 26th, 2010

EditLab is happy to welcome two new full-time members to our team. Susan Curtis is joining us as our full-time client services manager and assistant producer. Susan will be your ongoing contact for all production and post-production scheduling, special events, customer assistance, craft services and more.

We are also pleased to have editor John Oselette add his diverse skill set to our overall creative services offerings.  John has been an editor for more than a decade on both the east and west coasts.  He moved to Atlanta back in 1999 after years of diverse editorial experience in Los Angeles.  He served as a broadcast editor at Turner Broadcasting for many years and has a firm command of editing, graphics, and broadcast design.  Be sure to check out his work on our portfolio page.

Look for these great new team members on your next visit!

Special Holiday Treat for EditLab

December 24th, 2010

The holiday season is a perfect time for surprises, but this year a particularly memorable holiday treat arrived at the lab on Christmas Eve– a letter of congratulations from The Accolade Competition! Two months ago EditLab’s turnkey film production, “Grounded,” received three MarCom Awards. Now the film has garnered two Accolade Awards to complement them. The honors received include an Award of Excellence for outstanding work in the Training/Industrial Production category, and an Award of Merit for Film Directing for Michael Curtis.

Space: The Final Frontier

October 13th, 2010

The sprawling complex sits on the edge of Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward. We’ve been looking for a suitable home for about a year, but there really didn’t seem to be a lot of workable options. It will have to suffice to say that it is a very, very taxing thing to make a film. And it is far, far easier to go see a movie than it is to actually make one.

Congratulations are in order…

Aug 17, 2010

We are happy to announce that two EditLab team members have had new additions to their families over the last few weeks. Jason and Crissy Hester are proud new parents of Patterson, born August 10th, and Danny and Jenny Powell welcomed home their second daughter, Joy, back on July 8th. Congratulations to both sets of parents!

Work has been continuing, of course, amid all the office births.  This week has been busy as we finalized all of the pre-production planning for our upcoming film project for the FAA.  So this will be a brief post!  Our editorial team created three new promos for TNT Latin America’s AmoCinema.com web site.   You can check out all 3 promos below.
